Omega 3’s are polyunsaturated fatty acids and are essential for every human being. This means that our body cannot make them, and we need to get them via our food or supplement intake. The main source of omega 3 fatty acids in our food is fish, less via nuts and oils. Fish however also get their omega 3’s from algae.
Our omega 3's are coming from algae grown by solar energy in a CO2 neutral process. This way, there is no impact of contamination from the ocean (such as heavy metals, dioxins and PCBs) that are often found in fish and fish oils. These algae have a phospholipid form for the best possible absorption into the body.
